It happens that Midie's younger sibling who has just returned to the village wants to use the space of the durian tree plantation to grow herbal plants. Midie rebels and opposes his mother's and sibling's desire because the tree is the same age as him and was planted by his late grandfather in tandem with his existence in this world. It holds deep meaning for him because his late grandfather's wish was for his descendants to be able to eat the fruits of his planting.
